Fifty-three Boilermakers have been recognized for their continued success in the classroom with Academic All-Big Ten honors.

The sophomore ran a time of 20:52.38, within a second of her time at last year’s NCAA Championship.

The women’s 6,000-meter race is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park.

It is the third consecutive season the Purdue women will have representation at the NCAA Championships.

The men's cross country team earned its highest Great Lakes Regional finish in more than 20 years, as the it finished fifth Friday.

Friday’s action begins at 11:15 a.m. ET at the Lavern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course with the women’s 6,000-meter race.

Curt Eckstein was unanimously voted the Big Ten Men’s Cross Country Freshman of the Year, the conference office announced.

The men’s team had its highest finish in 31 years at Big Tens, placing fifth with 133 points, both program bests since 1986.

The Big Ten Championships begin Sunday at 10:45 a.m. ET at the IU Championship Cross Country Course in Bloomington, Indian.

Megan Slamkowski and Gabrielle Broschard went 1-2 in the women's race, while Cole Hester led the men with a fourth-place finish.
