The Valparaiso men s and women s cross country teams opened their seasons Friday with the Crusader Open at Sunset Hills Farm. Junior Liz Bloy (Freedom, Wis./Freedom) put forth a strong showing, finishing in 12th place overall with a time of 19:33.0 in the women's 5K. Junior Adam Bruno (Bloomington, Ill./University) paced the Crusaders with a 20:00.2 to post a 13th-place finish.
