The Taylor University men's track and field program headed across Grant County on Thursday for the opening day of competition at the 2013 NAIA National Championships on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.

Six members of the Taylor men's track and field team are set to compete in the NAIA Track and Field National Championships later this week at the Indiana Wesleyan University Outdoor Sports Complex in Marion, Ind.

The Taylor men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Dr. Keeler invitational this weekend in the teams' final tune up prior to the NAIA National Championships next week.

The Taylor track and field team had its last home meet of the season on Saturday as it hosted the Taylor Invitational.

For the second time this season, Taylor's Brandan Wilchcombe has been named the Crossroads League Runner of the Week.

After a closely contested competition, the Taylor men's track and field team took third place at the Crossroads League Championships Saturday evening.
