[Indoor Track & Field] IWU Indoor Track and Field Competes at NAIA National ChampionshipPublished by
JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. -- Indiana Wesleyan University took part in the NAIA Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field National Championships this weekend in Johnson City, Tennessee. The men's team scored four points to place 38th with 54 teams denting the scoring column. The women did not register a point. Indiana Wesleyan's best event at the national championship meet was in the long jump with one female and male earning a spot in the finals. Thomas Collet earned the only four points for the Wildcats with a fourth place finish in the Men's Long Jump. He finished with a long mark of 23 feet nine inches. Katelin Morgan also advance to the eight competitor finals in the Women's Long Jump, but finished out of the scoring with an eighth place finish. She jumped 18-5.75 feet for her top mark. Indiana Wesleyan is now finished with the indoor season and will begin to concentrate on the upcoming outdoor season.
